OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE AND INJURY FREE
There is a colossal amount of time and money being spent on preventive treatment, recovery and the ability of sportspeople to perform to their highest level consistently.
Neurolink (NIS) now addresses issues that are not being fully sorted by most conventional approaches. Every sportsperson I and my colleagues have recently examined and treated, all have one thing in common - they have, often unknowingly, taken or being taken outside their own individual tolerance levels; mental, physical, emotional, pathological or hormonal.
Every player is very much a unique individual. The ability to adapt and cope with life experiences, both inside and outside sport, is unique to each person. Once outside their own tolerance levels brain wave activity changes and a vulnerability to under-perform ensues. There is now a temporary distraction, loss of concentration and players are unable to step up to the plate consistently.
The most common effect is that the CEREBELLUM (part of the brain stem) functions below par. This is the most rapidly acting mechanism in the brain. It knows what you are going to do before you do it. It makes movement flowing, fluent, intuitive and co-ordinated automatically without unnecessary effort. Furthermore, it enables your body (muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, nerves etc.) to adapt to awkward pressurised, stressful situations without having to think about it.
Sportspeople that I have treated with Neurolink had several factors in common. Many of these factors were functional problems and often do not show up on orthodox medical tests (x-ray, scan, blood tests etc.)
Common Findings:
* Too much emphasis given to the site of the injury only.
* Diminished brain signalling to the problem area, common in all cases.
* Problems still existing after other forms of treatment have been used.
* Inability to engage core muscles automatically without consciously thinking about it.
* Player more easily injured.
* Recurring injury or injuries.
* Body may be compensating for previous injury.
* Body still compensating subconsciously to previous unexpected bang on the head.
* Individual’s unique tolerance levels exceeded.
* Diminished ability to recover well from exertion.
* Auditory, visual, kinesthetic brain processing simultaneously without confusion (needs improvement in most individuals.
* Diminished signalling from cerebellum (co-ordination centre) in brain to areas of the body.
* Unequal stride pattern.
* Unequal shock absorption.
* Pushing off more on one foot.
* Repeated stress on one sacro iliac joint.
* Lowered automatic left/right brain integration (Paramount Importance). Left brain is logical analyses and learns the skills.
Right brain is intuitive, aids spatial awareness, sees the bigger picture, performs the learned skill calmly under pressure.
* Several athletes were unknowingly reacting to subconscious suppressed emotions.
* Some more difficult issues had an unresolved subclinical viral problem undermining the body to function to its maximum.
* Many had lowered immune (thymus) capability or lowered Adrenal Gland function.
* Once the above problems are addressed by Neurolink treatment the sites of injury should clear up or respond very quickly to localised treatment.
* Post unexpected blows to the body, particularly to the head, are common findings.
Commonly Recurring Sports Issues that Neurolink can Assist Greatly With are:
- Hamstring, groin, leg, calf, achilles, ankle, hip, knee, shoulder, neck, lower back, sciatica and pelvis.
- Unexplained tiredness.
- Inconsistent performance (especially under pressure).
- Poor handling of stress.
- Diminished automatic co-ordination.
- Poor recovery.
- Diminished peripheral or spatial awareness.
- Inability to reach full potential (common to all).
- Recovery after surgery.

Dr Matt Rabin BSc(Hons), MSc(Chiro), DC, ICSSD, PGDip, FRCC, Neurolink Teacher and Practitioner, London. Dr. Rabin has been fortunate to work with some of the best athletes in the world in their field on a consistent basis. Currently Matt is Team Chiropractor and Physical Therapies Co-ordinator to Garmin-Sharp Professional Cycling Team travelling with them to races all over the world. In the summer of 2012 Matt had the privilege of being one of only six UK based chiropractors selected to work in the Polyclinic of the Athletes Village at the London Olympic Games, where he got to work alongside other leading sports practitioners and treat many athletes on a daily basis. Additionally, Matt is currently chiropractic consultant to West Ham United Football Club.
Dr Rabin on Neurolink - “Every day in practice is different and exciting and I am constantly amazed at how Neurolink (NIS) can benefit my patients. It's like having all the answers to an exam before going in, it feels like an unfair advantage, and this is what using Neurolink is like. This is very humbling for a practitioner, as you will continually see that what you thought was causing your patients complaint had nothing to do with it at all. Using Neurolink you get the answers, you get to the real causes, you can explain to your patients why they’ve been having their problem, and then help them in a way that many other approaches may have failed over and over again. I have used this approach on patients from every different demographic, from those that have been in long term pain, to Premier League footballers and Olympians trying to get an edge on performance, and consistently the outcomes are eye-opening. From a personal perspective I just feel lucky to have Neurolink in my toolbox and am passionate about helping other practitioners learn the approach, it’s too simplistic and important not to have a wider audience.”

“I first started working with Matt at the end of 2008 following my success at the 2008 Beijing summer Olympics. After years of struggling with minor niggles that I had learned to live with, and having never really found the answer to my problems despite having sought numerous treatment options with no great success, I went to see Matt. From my first session with him I had great results that were not short lived. That followed up with regular sessions I saw improvements that I had never seen before and that reflected in the way my body held up on a day to day basis. Matt will undoubtedly remain an integral part of my medical support in the forthcoming seasons”.

“I was sceptical at first but through Neurolink and Dr Matt Rabin I have been able to find the small problems that machines and western science couldn’t find out. It has enabled me to prepare better for the Tour De France and make my life easier as a whole. I am ever grateful that I stumbled upon Neurolink and will continue to use it while I prepare for big events and throughout my life”.
K Murphy, New Zealand, 2 Times World Champion Mountain Running Team
“Due to the huge demands on ones’ body, athletes find there is a fine line between peak fitness and injury or illness. I have found Neurolink to be the most effective healthcare modality I have encountered. I have utilised Neurolink over the past 5 years for a variety of complaints, physical and metabolic – and would not be without it. It has in essence enabled me to compete with some of the best athletes in the world”.
